The Foundation rewards scholarships to recruited upcoming athletes from Savannah or the surrounding areas to Georgia Southern University. The Foundation is honored to also partner with Savannah State to reward student athletes who have maintained a high GPA proving their leadership and determination on and off the field.
24 medical students were rewards scholarships in the first 5 years after Abbie’s accident. Academic scholarships are provided to students at Georgia Southern University and the University of Georgia. A partnership with Georgia Nurses Association allows the Foundation to have a state-wide impact to advocate and benefit nurses.
Abbie’s impact has been felt around the world from China, Ecuador, Poland, Africa, to India. Opportunities for outreach abroad have been provided to Nursing Students across Georgia from Reinhardt University, Georgia Southern, Truett McConnell, Valdosta State and Dalton State.
As Class President in High School and Kappa Delta President at Georgia Southern University, Abbie was an impactful leader raising thousands of dollars for charitable causes she loved. The Foundation continues her passion and family legacy for community by promoting leadership and looking for change makers to encourage.
