
On Saturday, February 22, the e.s.p. (Extra Special People) organization hosted a magical evening at their 40th anniversary Big Hearts Gala at The Classic Center in Athens, Georgia. This year’s event marked four decades of dedicated service to individuals with disabilities and their families in the Atlanta, Athens, Rome, and newly opened Savannah branches.
The Big Hearts Gala is one of e.s.p.’s largest fundraising events, focused on celebrating participants and raising crucial funds to support the organization’s transformative programs. The event not only honored the past 40 years of service but also looked ahead to the future, empowering individuals of all abilities and fostering inclusivity.
The Gala is not only a celebration but also a vital fundraiser, ensuring that participants can continue to attend and thrive in the programs offered by e.s.p. The funds raised support everything from attendance fees to the organization’s ongoing mission of providing transformative opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
A special highlight of the evening was the representation of the Abbie DeLoach Foundation by Jimmy and Maria DeLoach.
